This week’s general sale of home furnishings, collectibles, textiles and vintage accessories will be the subject of two episodes filmed for the BBC broadcast.
It’s not the first time film crews have been present as part of Victoria Hall, although it’s been a few years since Flog It filmed at Hartleys around nine years ago.
Since then, said director Emma Padgett, whose brother Charles Hartley will be auctioneer on Wednesday, a lot has changed, with all auctions now having the option to bid online.
She said: “Flog It’s been around a few times, years ago. It’ll be interesting to see how much has changed, we used to have plenty of rooms but now a lot of people are bidding on comfort home. It will be a little different.”

The auction is a general sale, with a “huge mix” of items that can sell from a few pounds to a few hundred. There may still be treasures to be discovered, Ms Padgett added.
“Typically there are around 1,000 lots that we have on sale every week. It’s such a huge mix. There’s always something that might surprise you.”
Hartleys Auction’s catalogs were due to go live on its website last night, Friday March 25.
